Sprouted Grain Bread
Ingredients
1/2 cup heirloom popcorn
3 Tablespoons coconut oil or olive oil
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
Put pot with heavy bottom over medium heat. Add oil
When oil has melted add 3 kernels of popcorn and put lid on. Wait until each kernel has popped - around 3-5 minutes
Remove from heat. Add the rest of the popcorn and the sugar. Shake the pot to make sure each kernel is covered in the oil and salt mix.
Keep off of heat for 30 seconds then put back on the heat. After a minute you’ll hear the kernels start to pop again.
Turn off heat when popping slows down.
Pour into a large bowl, sprinkle with salt and enjoy! Sharing optional
Note: removing the pot from the heat may seem odd but it helps prevent burning and minimizes un-popped kernels!
